I've been building websites for over twenty years and taught college-level web development to people who'd never touched code. I built Cantrip because I got tired of watching small businesses either overpay for a custom site or get stuck fighting a drag-and-drop builder that only looks easy. Now I need real projects to build on, not more of my own test sites.
So here's the offer. I'm taking on a handful of small businesses and solo artists in South Jersey and building each one a real website, free. Not a template you're stuck customizing yourself. An actual site, built for what your business does, that you'd be fine sending people to.
You pay for hosting once it's live, a few bucks a month, same as any Cantrip site. Nothing else. No design fee tacked on after the fact, no "free trial" that quietly turns into a bill.
You'll need your own domain, something like yourbusiness.com. If you don't have one yet, that's fine, I'll walk you through grabbing one. Takes about ten minutes.
This isn't charity dressed up as a promotion. I need real businesses with actual content and real decisions to make, not another one of my own made-up examples. You get a free site. I get to see where Cantrip breaks before a paying customer does. Fair trade.
