Every website builder asks the same question at checkout: monthly or yearly? A lot of them use that question to get you locked into a year of payments before you've even seen whether the thing works for you. So it's worth being straight about what that choice actually means here.
The math first, since that's the part people actually want. Monthly runs $12 a website. Yearly runs $120 a website, which works out to $10 a month. That's a $24 difference over a year, 17% off if you want the percentage. Not a huge number, but a real one, and it applies the same whether you have one site or ten, since billing is per website, not per account.
Before any of that matters, you get 14 days free either way. Pick monthly or yearly at signup, and the trial runs the same length regardless of which one you chose. That's the actual decision point: whether the site is worth paying for at all, not which button you clicked on day one.
What happens if you pick one and change your mind? You switch. There's a setting for it in your account (an MCP call too, if you're the type managing your website through a chatbot instead of clicking around a dashboard), and Stripe prorates the difference automatically. Go from monthly to yearly and you're credited for the days you didn't use. Go the other way and it works the same in reverse. Nobody has to email support, and there's no call where someone tries to talk you out of leaving.
So which one should you actually pick? If you're not sure the site is staying up past year one, monthly is the safer default. Twenty four dollars isn't the kind of money that should decide anything for a small business, and switching later takes a couple clicks, not a support ticket. If you already know you're keeping the site around (it's live, it's working, you're not rebuilding it in six months), yearly saves you a little and gets billing off your plate until next year.
Either way it's handled the same as everything else here: no contract to read carefully, no phone call to cancel, no fine print about early termination fees. Pick one, change it later if you want, move on with your day.
